Dark Woods is an ASCII adventure / puzzle game where on each level you are given an objective (ex, "Find a weapon and kill all monsters") that you must complete. The gameplay is turn-based, so you can be strategic as you move around and kill enemies. There are a couple different weapons that you can pick up and a few different monsters to kill. There are only 6 levels, so for a bit more variety (and the ability to make your own levels) check out the sequel Dark Woods 2 instead.Dark Woods is a DOS-based game that is often categorized under the survival horror or adventure genre.
